Leeuwin Family Connect Voyage

Relationships Australia WA will be onboard the Leeuwin Family Connect Voyage again this year, helping to support families on an unforgettable three-day adventure.

The STS Leeuwin II, Australia’s largest training tall ship, is about to set sail on it’s annual Leeuwin Family Connect Voyage. This three-day family adventure will give you and your teenagers lifelong memories as you learn the intricacies of manoeuvring an 1850s-style ship.

You’ll discover new strengths as you climb the rigging of the ship, set and unfurl the sails, take the helm and stand watch during the night. With all meals catered for by an on-board chef, and the Leeuwin’s expert crew onboard to guide you, you can focus on enjoying this amazing experience together.

Relationships Australia WA’s experienced Community Education Facilitator Craig will be on board to help strengthen your family relationships, and increase the flow of communication in a safe, supportive, and fun environment.

Relationship educator Sue Aspin has been involved in the Family Connect Voyage since 2017 and says the voyage is a great opportunity to build family connection and communication.

“Learning how to communicate and connect well in a family is essential for family stability and happiness.”

“For some families, this voyage sets the tone for a whole new way of relating to each other when they return home and for others, it helps cement their skills and reaffirm the bond that already exists.”
