4Dads

Do you live in Mandurah or Pinjarra? Do you need help to strengthen your relationship with your child?

Contrary to popular belief, we don’t always know automatically what to do as a parent. Join other dads of children aged up to 15 years to build skills to assist your child to be positive, flexible and assertive. Research has shown that being a warm and supportive, involved and engaged father impacts positively on your child’s mental wellbeing.

How can we help you?

Tuning into Kids and Teens

Whether you’re raising kids aged 3 to 10 or teenagers aged 10-18 we are challenged by their behaviour. But it isn’t the behaviour that we should be observing or disciplining. The importance of emotion regulation is a curtail tool we need to nurture through these age groups.

Children and teens with developed emotional intelligence behave better, create and maintain relationships, learn better and are generally happier. Being emotionally tuned-in will strengthen your relationship with your child and give you the tools to be an empathically connected parent. This 6 week course will boost your ability to parent to your best.

Expressions of interest for either Tuning into Kids or Tuning into Teens can be made by contacting 6164 0619 or 4families.mandurah@relationshipswa.org.au

No date is set for this course. If we get the numbers, we will go ahead with a group. It is most likely to be on a Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday at Cooper Street.
