Relationships Australia WA appoints new Chief Executive Officer

The Board of Relationships Australia WA is delighted to announce the appointment of Danielle Newport as Chief Executive Officer, following an extensive national recruitment process.

A highly experienced leader and CEO, Danielle succeeds Terri Reilly who recently retired after almost 20 years of service. Danielle assumed her new responsibilities on 15 August 2022.

Relationships Australia WA President Chris Lewis said Danielle brings an incredible depth of executive experience in health, education, employment and disability.

“Danielle has been at the centre of transformational change and has helped not for profit organisations to achieve significant growth in changing times and circumstances.”

Danielle was previously the CEO of WA's largest disability services provider Activ Foundation overseeing more than 1,300 staff providing a diverse range of services across 100 locations.

In addition, Danielle has been on the Board of national peak bodies and ministerial advisory councils and is currently on the Board of two significant WA community organisations. Danielle’s senior leadership experience include CFO and CEO roles in the UK and Australia.

Commenting on the appointment, Danielle said she was excited to be stepping into the role.
